About the MUG

The University of Virginia Mobile User Group (MUG) blog is used for sharing information about mobile devices. Although sponsored by the Health Sciences Library, with a health system focus, anyone within the University of Virginia is welcome to add a comment. By joining together, we can better utilize these gadgets to meet our individual and collective needs.

Important information for blog contributors: this shared blog has been created under the ownership and control of the Health Sciences Library, Department, University of Virginia exclusively for postings by University of Virginia students, faculty, staff, and invited guest contributors. Its purpose is to highlight curricular uses of mobile devices or relating to themes and issues relevant to the use of mobile devices in a higher education environment, especially in health sciences areas. All submitted posts will be reviewed for content and relevancy before being published online, and the MUG administrators reserve the right to request revisions or refuse to publish a given submission. Posts and comments will appear on this blog subject to the standards of responsible civil discourse and sound scholarship. In other words, the MUG Blog has been established to further defined objectives of the University of Virginia’s support and use of mobile devices in academic endeavors and does not constitute a forum for general expression.
