benfoxsmallYou take a break from late afternoon studying in the Library and head downstairs to the vending machines to buy a soda. You notice that there appears to be a money bag hanging from the machine.  You open up the bag and peek inside and the first thing you see is a $100 bill on top! You look over to the other drink machine and see a second bag full of money hanging from that machine.

What is this – double lottery winnings day – the best horoscope of your life day?!

If you are fourth year medical student Ben Fox (Class of 2014), you do the right thing and bring both bags of money to the Library’s Service Desk to be turned over to Health System Security.

Now, that is what I call the UVa Honor System at work!  You can see a Honor Code emblem affixed to the study carrel where Ben is working in the picture above.  But I have to believe that this young man carries the Honor Code in his heart.

    Congratulations!
